About Our Hyacinth Macaw

Known as "gentle giants", our Hyacinth Macaws are very affectionate birds by nature. They are easily trained and tend to bond strongly with their human caregivers. In spite of their tremendous strength, this is one of the most laid back and easy-going of all of the macaws. The most striking part of our Hyacinth Macaw is their cobalt blue plumage.

.

  A number of 2 year olds in a small free-flight Aviary, prior to being moved into a large free flight which will encourage early pairing.

 ==================================================================
1)A pair in full breeding mode. Note how they have enlarged the nest box entrance.
This tends to encourage breeding and we often deliberately make the entrance too small for this reason.

 2)A pair of 3 years olds in a large free flight displaying mating behaviour prior to being moved into their own breeding Aviary.
